Grounded Intelligence

Grounded Intelligence is the discipline that makes a recommendation defensible. It treats every piece of institutional knowledge — best practice, case study, vendor profile, regulatory requirement, expert judgment, AI output — as a catalogued, cited, reliability-graded Knowledge Object. Every recommendation surfaces with the specific Knowledge Objects that informed it, with their reliability grades and version lineage attached. The chain is structured, navigable, and reconstructable years later in an incident investigation, a regulatory inquiry, or a boardroom.

Most AI systems reason from training data — vast statistical models of what is generally true in the world. Ask one about corporate safety practices and it will give you a confident, well-written answer derived from everything it has ever read. That answer may be accurate. It is not evidence.
